PE Symposium

Inaugural ANZ Pulmonary Embolism Symposium led by Westmead Respiratory Friend – Dr Jimmy Chien

This PE class is going to be massive…

The inaugural Multidisciplinary Australia and New Zealand Pulmonary Embolism Symposium will be held on 26–27 October 2026 at The Emporium Hotel, South Bank, Brisbane.

This independent Australasian meeting will bring together clinicians, researchers and allied health professionals involved in pulmonary embolism care. Speakers will represent emergency medicine, respiratory medicine, haematology, intensive care, interventional radiology, vascular medicine, anaesthetics and general medicine.

The program will focus on translating evidence into coordinated clinical practice, including establishing PE services, recognising PE in the emergency department, managing high-risk presentations, anticoagulation challenges, imaging and risk stratification, emerging therapies, long-term outcomes, and retrieval networks.

Abstract submissions are now open for oral and poster presentations. Register using the QR code and join colleagues from across Australia and New Zealand in shaping more collaborative PE care.
